An Advion Interchim Scientific prep column will operate at lower pressure which translates into longer column life.

• The lower pressure is attributed to the removal of fines (<1 µ diameter silica particles).

The presence of fines in the column will gradually migrate to the outlet frit where they are trapped and cause pressure build up.

• Fines are removed from the bonded silica prior to packing the column.

Compared to other manufacturers’ prep columns, an Interchim column will typically exhibit 30 – 40% lower pressure.

• In each of the applications pressure never exceeded 30 bar/435 PSI.
