Rely+On® Virkon®, a high level broad spectrum disinfectant has many applications in laboratories, especially those handling potentially infected biological materials such as blood, urine and tissue cultures. Rely+On® Virkon® is especially effective against viruses, both blood-borne and those transmitted via aerosols and surfaces, such as noroviruses. Laboratory facilities and equipment can be decontaminated after spillage or contact with potentially HIV and Hepatitis infected blood samples during analysis. Rely+On® Virkon® solution can be used in discard jars for decontamination of pipettes and disposable tips. Rely+On® Virkon® is independently proven effective against methicilin resistant strains of Staphyloccocus aureus (MRSA) and other gram positive bacteria.
